How to…
This website is not difficult to use. It is powered by Piwigo, on top of which I created some new templates. I really tried to keep everything as simple and obvious as possible: no technical information (who cares? Not me…) Pictures are at the heart of this website, this is why I have placed them at the center of the pages.
For those used to the previous version of this site, you will feel at home, and you will easily find your cats or your cows (or maybe you are here to find trees or windows?). The main part of the page is about the pictures. The block at the left is dedicated to navigation in the website and/or actions on categories or pictures.
On the left, the menu is divided into different themes. The home page is always accessible at the top. If you are consulting a lot of pictures or a single picture, the possible actions differ. For instance, you can take a look at pictures on Google Earth or Google Maps, you can active a diaporama, you can send an ecard (see explanation on this page)…
Under the action submenu, you will find more general navigation tools. They will let you go inside the website using other criterias than the categories I propose to you: calendars by date at which pictures where added, by creation date, most visited, most commented, tags (sorry, in french!)… and don't forget random choice!
The diaporama can be activated from a single picture or from thumbnails views. Buttons at the top right of the current picture let you pause/play, go ahead, go forward, go faster, go slower…
Every visitor can write a comment at the bottom of any picture. I will valide (or not!) what you have written before it appears in a hidden block you can activate with just one click below the picture.
You can register on this site (login, password and email address…). Then you will be able choose your default language, the number of lines of pictures on pages (default 4, I have a big screen!), keep in your favorites some pictures you want to find more easily…
If you can read french, don't hesitate to go away of this website to go to my "Carnets" or my "Science" websites (links at the top of home page). In particular, go to the rubrique "Photos aux détails" (details about pictures) in which I speak about some pictures presented here.
I hope you will enjoy the pictures I share with you as much as I enjoy to take them.
